Diablo III Preorder on Datablitz

Datablitz is now accepting preorder downpayments for Diablo III. This guarantees customers a day one copy of the long-awaited game from your nearest Datablitz branch. Downpayment is priced at 200 Php, which will be taken from the actual cost of the standard edition of the game.

Since the preorder price is 90 SGD, I expect this to be around 3,000 Php. I also asked if this downpayment was transferable to a collector's edition, and I was answered yes. I'm hoping we do get some collector's edition copies—I'd love to have the Soulstone USB flash drive.

Cities in Motion for Free

I just got an email from Paradox Interactive, makers of Magicka and City in Motion, with a complementary game code for Cities in Motion. All I did was answer a survey here and got the code in a couple of weeks.

It's pretty cool that a company actually rewards its customers for feedback. Props to Paradox Interactive.

Too bad survey's closed.

Diablo III Release Date Confirmed: May 15, 2012

Blizzard finally officially releases Diablo III's release date, scheduled for May 15, 2012. They have also started pre-sales for the Digital edition costing 90 Singaporean Dollars, or roughly 3000 Philippine Pesos, for Southeast Asians. Pre-purchasing guarantees a copy of the game and allows buyers to access the game at the earliest time possible.

I'm basically sold, except for a couple of things. I really want the Collector's Edition mainly due to the Soulstone USB containing original copies of Diablo II and Lord of Destruction. My primary concern is whether or not I will be able to use the balance I made for pre-purchasing Diablo III towards the Collector's Edition. And, more importantly, how much will the Collector's Edition cost?

I suspect this is only available physically, so I would have to camp the nearest Datablitz in hopes for an available stock.

C&C: Tiberian Sun is now Freeware

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun is now a free game. If you're an RTS gamer and haven't played this before, it might be worth the download. I personally remember fancying the campaign, especially with the Westwood mandatory cut-scenes. It's available in many sources such as Joystiq and Fileplanet.

Ultima IV Free @ GOG.com

Since I'm a cheapskate, I usually go for good deals I find, especially when it comes to games. I particularly enjoy stuff when they're offered for free. Who doesn't?

Well, GOG.com just offered Ultima IV for free. Get your copy now, along with Teenagent, Beneath the Steel Sky, and Lure of the Temptress if you're interested as well. Oh, and the site also offers great deals for DLC-free games if you haven't heard of it, so consider this free advertising from them.
